I became a Microsoft MVP
My journey with Windows 365 began last year when I was introduced to Microsoft’s new Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) product. At that time, I was still heavily involved with Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Intune, among other things. Initially, I was skeptical about the concept of a PC in the cloud, but I decided to give it a try.
I started by setting up my own environment and exploring all its possibilities. I was quickly amazed by the impressive product Microsoft had brought to the market. My experience with VDI began over 10 years ago, starting with Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and private cloud VDI solutions but expanded towards Public Cloud as well, with Azure Virtual Desktop. This background has given me a deep understanding of the challenges involved in setting up and managing a VDI environment.
Microsoft basically solved all this complexity with Windows 365, I did my first setup and was hooked. Multiple setups for customers followed not much after. I started talking on events and convinced multiple people and customers of the benefits Windows 365 could offer in their journey to the cloud.
Microsoft recognized my effort and invited me to Seattle in the beginning of this year, which gave me a great opportunity to meet with the people behind the product.
Now, a few months later, July 2024, I’m thrilled to share that I have been honored with the Microsoft MVP award. I’m thankful for this level of acknowledgment and deeply grateful to everyone who supported me along the way.
This award will give me the ultimate benefit, which is to help shape the future of Windows 365.
